Established in 2001, the
Trevey Company provides traditional real estate brokerage services including the listing and marketing of all types of land and commercial real estate as well as buyer representation in the search and acquisition of these properties.
In the real estate industry there are specific categories, each defined primarily by their product type, such as residential, office, retail and industrial. But under each of these categories is land. In the field of land brokerage, many of the same general conditions and components of the real estate industry are in play, such as supply and demand, sales comparables and marketing. But the key element in land sales is land use. Understanding exactly what can or cannot be developed on a particular parcel of land is crucial in the successful sales and marketing of any property.
Successfully performing in commercial real estate also requires a solid understanding of that market. With 10 years of commercial, retail and office brokerage experience, the
Trevey Company has a proven track record and working knowledge to best serve the needs of buyers, sellers, developers and landlords.
Mitch Trevey
Mitch is a deeply experienced land and commercial property broker with an extensive history in land entitlement and development in the Douglas, Elbert and Arapahoe County areas. By specializing in these markets, Mitch has developed invaluable experience and useful relationships with local and regional authorities and numerous developers, key in successful land brokerage and development consultation for residential, commercial and mixed use projects.
Prior to establishing the
Trevey Company, Mitch Trevey and his brother founded and built a national food sales and distribution company based in Aurora, Colorado with offices in five western states. After building and operating that business for 20 years, the company was successfully sold in 1999. This period provided invaluable experience in owning and operating a company with 70+ employees and developed a strong understanding of client service and lasting business relationships. Relationships are key to the success of any business and have proven even more vital to continued success in the real estate industry.
Mitch entered land and commercial property brokerage in 1999 and by 2002 had established his own firm, the
Trevey Company, in Parker, Colorado. The
Trevey Company has steadily grown into a well known land and commercial property brokerage, with a commanding presence in the Douglas County market. From 2005 through 2009, Mitch partnered with the Land Advisors Organization as the Managing Broker for the new Denver Division. As that business arrangement matured in 2009, the working relationship has remained productive and intact while the
Trevey Company has continued to grow and prosper with over 50 million in land sales and more than 100 million in listings.
Mitch has served as the President of the Chamber of Commerce in Parker, Colorado and as both the Chairman of the Board and the Executive Director of the Economic Development Council. He is also an active member of the Denver Metropolitan Commercial Association of Realtors (DMCAR), the South East Business Partnership (SEBP), the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and the Colorado Association of Homebuilders (CAHB).
Blessed to be married to Amy Trevey, a successful chiropractor of nine years in Parker, Mitch is active with Calvary Chapel of Parker and believes in the Holy Trinity. He has four sons including a graduate from the University of Colorado's School of Architecture and Planning, an artillery specialist in the US Army recently deployed to Iraq, and their two happy and healthy younger brothers still at home in Parker.
Kurt Wolter
Kurt brings 40 years of land acquisition and development experience to the
Trevey Company. He also has a strong background in underwriting major land holdings throughout the U.S. and negotiating land sales to developers and builders. This experience enables Kurt to evaluate the highest and best use of land from small commercial and residential lots to large parcels of undeveloped property.
After receiving a BSBA in finance from Miami (of Ohio) University and five years as a Flight Officer in the Navy, Kurt began his real estate career, building and selling ski condominiums in Vail, Colorado. He then founded Cherry Hills Construction Company, building custom homes in the Denver metro area. In 1980, Kurt became President of Mobil Land Development (Colorado) Corporation, where he acquired and developed the 1600 acre Stonegate mixed use community in Douglas County and purchased the 25,000 acre Banning Lewis Ranch in Colorado Springs.
Over the next ten years, he acquired a $125 million land portfolio and was responsible for developing and selling holdings in Colorado, California, and Arizona. He then negotiated the sale of half of a $100 million REO land portfolio for a major bank. From there, he moved to Washington DC where he managed the development of two major mixed use properties and the analysis and valuation of commercial and residential land assets in large pools of RTC REO properties in excess of 1 billion dollars.
In 1995, Kurt joined the Genesee Company as the Vice President of Land Acquisition, Planning and Development where he purchased, planned, and developed land for over 4,000 residential lots. In 2005 he became the General Manager of Anthology (formerly the Stroh Ranch) in Parker, Colorado, where he was responsible for the planning, development and sale of a 3,000 acre mixed use master planned community of 6,000 residential lots and 500,000 square feet of commercial uses.
